It’s not a job, it’s your life

Greetings! You’re here because you’re part of a growing number of Americans who want your work to line up with your values. Whether you’re looking for a new job with a company that’s invested in the issues you care most about, or trying to figure out how to influence your employer to do better from within – we see you.

In a world full of enormous problems like economic inequality, climate change, and social injustice, it’s only natural to want to be part of the solution. At the end of the day, we all want that after-work beer to taste all the sweeter for the good work we’ve just done.

It's not a job, it's your life

Amazingly, nine out of 10 employees would choose to work for a company that shares their values over one that pays them more. That’s pretty inspiring – and it speaks both to the depth of our social and environmental crises, and to the optimism and personal empowerment people are feeling around the belief that business can be a force for good in this crazy world.

But how can we align our values with our work? Every company these days makes claims about sustainability, climate action, worker treatment, and social impact. Sometimes those claims represent real, meaningful commitments toward a better future for all. But sometimes, they don’t.

The trick is telling them apart, if you’re searching for a new job. Or, if you’re already employed, knowing how you can create change from within (it’s possible, as we’ve discovered at New Belgium time and time again).

You've come to the right place

At New Belgium, we’ve spent three decades pioneering a business model we call Human-Powered Business, which recognizes that our coworkers drive our business forward, and in return we work hard to invest deeply in the wellbeing of our coworkers and our communities in everything we do.

We’re not perfect – or even close. But this model guides our work every day. And it can also be used as a tool for all of us to make informed decisions about the businesses and brands we support. Especially those to which we give 40+ hours a week, not to mention our passion, our energy, and our brainpower.

This site is full of resources to help guide you in doing your part as a coworker or employee to build a more prosperous, equitable, and human-powered future.
